We dedicate invaluable time to researching viable candidates for our PROS Network, whether through outreach, inquiry, or recommendation.

(BTW, we take recommendations from beloved community members!)

From there, we facilitate direct outreach to see if they’re a good fit.

We have since created an extensive process of ensuring values alignment with these selected agencies, individuals, and organizations through a comprehensive assessment of their analysis of power, identity, harm reduction, and carceral punishment. 

After evaluating a potential member’s assessment, we extend an invitation for an interview. This is an informal conversation, but contains a set of questions to better understand a candidate’s interest in PROS Network and the sex worker community.

Upon invitation, PROS partners agree to the following bylaws of our partnership:

• The partner/agency possesses the capacity to provide services to individuals engaged in the sex trade

• The partner/ agency will honor and respect the choices and experiences of all individuals engaged in the sex trade, and will be responsive to their unique needs

• The partner/agency employs a harm-reduction/client-centric approach to their work with clients.

• The partner/agency is willing to be listed on the Chicago PROS Network website and other SWOP Chicago promotional materials

• The partner/agency agrees to notify the SWOP Chicago Board of Directors if any changes occur that affect the provider’s ability provide non-judgmental services to individuals engaged in the sex trade.

After being welcomed into the network, members are grounded in orientation materials and receive ongoing invitations of anti-racist, anti-bias, pro-sex work trainings and evaluations of the impact of their work.
